Grotrian-Steinweg Grand

Piano overview
Grotrian-Steinweg, recognised as Grotrian in the US, is a distinguished German manufacturer of high-end pianos, based in Braunschweig. The company traces its origins to 1835, when Heinrich Engelhard Steinweg established the first Steinweg piano factory. Friedrich Grotrian joined as a partner in 1856, and in 1865 his son Wilhelm Grotrian and associates acquired the factory, rebranding their pianos as successors to the Steinweg legacy. Under successive generations of the Grotrian family the company flourished into one of Germany's premier piano manufacturers, gaining acclaim among renowned pianists and receiving accolades at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
